Any more advanced media center for Linux (eg MythTV) also needs a decent PC.
My old Athlon XP 2500+ might be able to handle the frontend, but it's not enough for both backend and frontend.

If you need a beta tester, please send an E-Mail to linux(at)peter-gaede.eu
I will test it on Debian Etch (amd64).

Well, you can just pick up the dvb-add-firesat-driver.patch and roll your own. :-)

I tried this, but am unable to build the kernel using Ubuntu 2.6-14-Generic sources.
Have I missed another required patch?

What is (are) the error(s) you're getting?
I'm using 2.6.22-14 generic (ubuntu 7.10) without any problems.
I do remember 2.6.24 giving some errors because 2 functions where removed from the kernel source. As far as I know, this isn't fixed (yet).

The driver got included in the linux-next tree yesterday. It compiles and loads.

Does it work on FireDTV cable too, or is it only satellite?

FTA should work (except for DVB-S2), but I can only test with DVB-S.

I would like to test my DVB-T in Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 lts.
